Integrasi Numerasi dan Keterampilan Kriya Fungsional melalui Pemanfaatan Aksesoris Kreatif pada Peserta Didik MI Nurul Ulum Bondowoso

Abstract

This community service activity was driven by the low numeracy skills and lack of self-confidence among elementary school students when speaking in front of the class. The program aimed to enhance students' numeracy and public speaking abilities by integrating basic mathematical reasoning with functional craft-making using creative accessories. Held at MI Nurul Ulum in Jambesari Darussholah, Bondowoso, the activity involved 28 students from grades IV, V, and VI. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed through direct observation across four structured sessions: material introduction, bead bracelet fabrication, project presentation, and closing reflection. The results indicated that students were able to understand and apply fundamental numeracy concepts effectively. Furthermore, the presentation sessions improved students' courage and communication skills, although several students still exhibited initial nervousness. Overall, this project-based learning model fostered an active and enjoyable learning environment that supported cognitive, psychomotor, and affective development, demonstrating its potential as an innovative learning strategy aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum.
