Volume 3 , Issue 2
Published in September 2025, Volume 3 Issue 2 of the Journal Mobile Technologies (JMS) presents five research articles that address emerging technologies and methodologies shaping the mobile application landscape. The edition opens with an ethical examination of cloud storage solutions in industrial engineering contexts, offering a comparative analysis between Microsoft OneDrive and SharePoint to guide organizational decision-making. The journal then explores gamification strategies in mobile learning environments, investigating how interactive design elements enhance user engagement and knowledge retention among learners. Advancing into next-generation connectivity, a case study examines the transformative effects of 5G technology on interactive mobile applications within smart city frameworks, revealing new possibilities for urban digital infrastructure. Two development-focused articles complete the volume: the first details the design and development process using Android Studio and Flutter, demonstrating cross-platform capabilities for modern mobile applications, while the second investigates the implementation of no-code app builders as accessible tools for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to create functional mobile applications without extensive programming expertise. These articles collectively address both theoretical considerations and practical development approaches, from ethical frameworks and emerging network technologies to democratized application development tools that empower businesses of varying technical capacities to participate in Indonesia's digital economy.
